Philadelphia High school Ultimate Education League (PHUEL) has been promoting high school ultimate
for over a decade. PHUEL strives to promote not only excellence and spirit on the field, but also off the field.
PHUEL has produced some excellent players and has sent teams to compete not only nationally at YCCs,
but also internationally at Paganello World Beach Ultimate Cup. PHUEL runs in conjuction with the PADA (Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance)
Ultimate is a year round sport, and PHUEL teams play both fall and spring. Fall PHUEL is typically a
shorter season, a time many teams use for recruiting new players and improving skills of old players.
Tournaments in the fall consist of the KitKat in the Hat, Fall Brawl, and City Championships.
The Spring is a much more active time, with more teams playing and more tournaments available including the HipHop on Pop,
City, State, and Eastern Championships. Games and tournaments are always filled with excitement, spirit, and
impressive displays of talent.
The success of PHUEL is known and respected throughout the country. In past years, players from PHUEL and PHUEL
teams have won several championships including first place at the 2006 Youth Club Championships in the open division,
second place at the 2007 Youth Club Championships, Mixed Division. In 2007 PHUEL's own
Pennsbury Peyote brought home the Eastern U.S. High School Championship, making claim to Philly as home of one of the
premier teams and leagues in the country.
